New speedo cable
Speedo needle has wobbled couple of years and last summer it started to make noise. So I changed a new cable for speedo. Quite easy job but there is little bit tight space behind the dashboard. I did not remove speedo, just changed the cable behind the speedo. No wobble or noise anymore.
It seems I have OD problems every year (see 2022). After the winter hibernation OD did not work again. Now I knew I had enough and correct type of oil in it. When listening solenoid I couldn't hear anything. I have had similar problem years ago, then a little knock to the solenoid helped. This time not, but wiggling the lever on the other side of OD did the trick, solenoid started to work again as well as whole OD. I guess something stucks when OD is long time unused and solenoid has not enough power to release it. Knock or wiggling helps.
Overdrive again
New screen for air intake
PO had destoyed air intake screen. I lived 23 years with it but now I decided to replace it.
I did not bother to hunt original one but made a new screen from mesh I got from hardware store. Quite easy to cut into correct form.
Originally it was painted body color but I decided to leave it stainless steel. As you may have noticed from earlier posts, I'm not a purist for originality.
